KODI RAFTING ANNOUNCES
THE
TWO HOUR HAPPY HOUR™ ON TEN MILE CREEK
In spring of 2006, KODI owner Christian “Campy” Campton
began the process of applying to obtain a permit to commercially
raft on Ten Mile Creek. Approval was received from the Frisco
Town Council as well as the Dillon Reservoir Recreation Committee
(DRReC) last May, however, the Forest Service approval was
not authorized until this past Friday.
KODI Rafting is the only commercial rafting
company to have received approval to raft on Ten Mile Creek.
The permit for 2007 is temporary and is valid for 10 launches
only.
“The Two Hour Happy Hour™ is
an exiting, exhilarating trip - literary, right in our back
yard,” says Campton. “We are excited for the
opportunity to show locals and visitors what great whitewater
we have right here in Frisco. We decided on the happy hour
concept so that locals could experience the trip without
having to take a day off work. They just need to leave an
hour early.”
Due to the permit stipulations (ten launch
maximum, one launch per day, four rafts per launch, four
guests per raft), space is limited on the Two Hour Happy
Hour™ to a total of 160 guests for the 2007 season.
The inaugural trip is scheduled for Monday, June 4th. The
other nine trip dates are June 5th, 6th, 7th, 11th, 12th,
13th, 14th, 18th and 20th, and are subject to change based
on water levels. The trip will meet at 4:00 pm and will finish
up at the new Island Grill, at the Frisco Bay Marina.
KODI Rafting requires that all participants are in good
physical condition, and have previous paddling experience
for this trip. Minimum age for this trip is 16. Cost for
the trip is $75/person and includes the river trip, use of
gear (wetsuits, booties and splash tops) and appetizers at
The Island Grill after the trip. Happy Hour pricing and drink
specials are also included. There is an additional 11% use
fee charged by the Forest Service and DRReC.
